South Coast Plaza: “Pavilion of Holiday Trees”
Nov. 14-Dec. 4, 2020

South Coast Repertory is among more than 30 arts organizations who have decorated trees for the season—as part of South Coast Plaza’s Pavilion of Holiday Trees, Nov. 14-Dec. 4, 2020. The exhibit is a fundraiser—all the trees are up for auction to benefit each arts organization. We’re grateful for South Coast Plaza’s ongoing support of the arts in Orange County and specific support of SCR.

About SCR’s Holiday Tree
Our tree lets you step back in time with a Victorian-era creation, inspired by A Christmas Carol. Designed by theatre artist Angela B. Calin in vibrant tones of red, gold and silver, the tree features toys, drawings from the story, tiny London houses, special handmade ornaments and Ebenezer Scrooge’s signature top hat and red scarf.

See the exhibit of trees in-person, in an open-air, safe and socially distanced setting at The Pavilion, on Level 2 of South Coast Plaza’s north parking structure, daily from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

The Pavilion of Trees is produced by South Coast Plaza with Baruch/Gayton Productions.

Own the A Christmas Carol-themed Tree

Place a bid on your favorite decorated tree (hint: SCR’s!) by Dec. 4. The tree will be delivered to the winner’s home in time for holidays, along with a gift pack of goodies from SCR including four premium seats to the 2021 production of A Christmas Carol, featuring Richard Doyle as Ebenezer Scrooge and your own red scarf to wear to the performance. Bidding on SCR’s tree starts at $300 and the funds from the tree benefit SCR.

In addition, a panel of judges will select three top trees with cash prizes going to the arts organization—ranging from $2,500 to $10,000.
